The C.O.R.A. App was founded and created by Zarifa Roberson on May 16, 2023. Ms. Zarifa Roberson is an African American woman with a physical disability. This idea of the C.O.R.A. App was based on a lived experience attending a 2-day festival in Philadelphia, PA and by the 2nd day Zarifa was unable to walk around the festival due to her disability. Ms. Zarifa Roberson came up with the idea of an app for people with disabilities to attend festivals, concerts, etc. of renting a motorized scooter/wheelchair or assistive technology devices to navigate in society. Where the person with a disability can connect to a vendor of their choice to make life a little less frustrating and to make life enjoyable with others. The C.O.R.A. App will give people with disabilities to navigate in their community by creating less barriers.
